Gohil Manishaben Kiranbhai, a 33-year-old housewife from state of Gujarat living along with her husband and 3 children. Her husband is in the business of fruit selling. Being a women she has the responsibility of taking care of the household chores.

The place where she lives has limited sources in order to obtain water. The village people had to draw water from the hand-pump which was common for the whole locality where she was living  along with her family. It was a very tiring process to pump the hand pump in order to draw water in different vessels for various household purposes for e.g. drinking, cleaning, washing, bathing etc.

They could not afford water connections in the house due to lack of fund availability with them.
