Why We Do What We Do

Trust of People (TOP) a Trust duly registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882 amended till date with its registered office at No. 111, Asath road, Palaiya nagai salai, Vijayapuram, Thiruvarur-610001, India

For millions in India, dignity is still out of reach. A young girl is missing school because there’s no toilet. A woman waste worker laboring unseen, without safety or fair pay. A boy dreaming of opportunity but held back by poverty and climate risks. These aren’t isolated stories—they’re daily realities for millions of families.

In our cities, plastic waste clogs drains, pollutes rivers, and fuels climate risks. Behind it are thousands of informal workers—mostly women—sorting through piles of waste without recognition or protection. The cost is borne not just by the environment, but by people’s health, dignity, and livelihoods. At Trust of People, we believe cleaner cities and stronger communities go hand in hand. By building safe sanitation, creating fair waste systems, empowering women, and opening doors for youth, we turn challenges into opportunities.

This isn’t just about managing plastic—it’s about reducing emissions, building climate resilience, and creating dignified green jobs. By aligning with global ESG goals, we’re proving that environmental sustainability and social inclusion can move forward together, shaping cities that are not only cleaner, but fairer and more future-ready.
